Traditional Education

Education (traditional agriculture, arts, culture): Promote traditional Vedic Education in various parts of US and other parts of world. Develop or procure rare books of special artistic and educational significance and distribute free of cost in USA where possible. Distribute books at discounted rates on Amazon.com, Lulu.com including Amazon kindle (2019 no revenue from this source).

Additionally, we incorporate principles of mindfulness and emotional well-being into our education programs to provide a more holistic learning experience.

Basic Needs

Basic Needs

Basic needs (food, clothing, shelter): Identify innovative ways of providing basic needs in the world and conduct research in fundamental ways to solve problems of food (traditional agriculture), clothing, shelter, and care. Eco-Friendly Housing, Cow Shelters, School Infrastructure in developing countries. This specific grant is for school education program in Salem, TN, India, and at Rural Educational Center near Vadodara, India.

We also aim to cultivate community wellness through intention-setting, gratitude workshops, and personal growth activities that support underserved populations.

Holistic Living

Sustainable Farming: Teaching the art of nurturing both the land and the soul worldwide in four different Varnasrama farm communities:

  • Salem, Tamil Nadu

Here at Friends for Education, we are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for all. This includes protecting cows from slaughter, holistic living on farms, reading ancient scriptures https://vedabase.io/en/ and relating them to modern life, off-the-grid living with no connections to power grid or water supply. Relying on mother earth to provide our basic needs, permaculture, biogas, methane-based fuels, Agrihood living, fresh farm foods, etc.

In addition, we aim to build resilience and emotional well-being through yoga, meditation, and support circles, helping individuals live balanced and fulfilling lives.

Training for establishing farm communities

•Aiming for Self-sufficiency
•Cooking by firewood available in plenty on the land
•Sufficient field for cow grazing
•We may need to buy some wheat but that is it
•Daily time commitment
•Farming – 4 hours
•Go-Seva – 2hours
•Deity service – 2 hrs
•Srimad Bhagavatham – 1 hour
•Cooking and cleaning – 2 hours
•Kids education – 2 hours
•Sleep 6 hours
•Contemplation – 5 hours

Homeless Outreach

We provide education on moving to farms and living a life closer to nature using varnashrama communities.  “Take some land from the government. You produce your food. Where is the difficulty? Keep some cows; you get milk,”a and, “Everyone should possess some land for growing food grains and some cows to take milk,”b and, “…if one man has got a cow and four acres of land, he has no economic problem…Let the people be divided with four acres of land and a cow, there will be no economic question".  By Swami A.C.
